Pan Kan…Turn Your Used Items into Scholarships Project

In 2016, Krungsri, in cooperation with the Yuvabadhana Foundation, initiated the Pan Kan…Turn Your Used Items into Scholarships Project with an aim to help expand educational opportunities for underprivileged youths by presenting scholarships to the youth under the supervision of the Yuvabadhana Foundation, while building Krungsri employee engagement through following activities:

• Donating gently-used items – Pan Kan donation boxes are placed at Krungsri’s Head Office, Rama 3 Road, and Krungsri Ploenchit Office to receive gently-used items from Krungsri employees who would like to ‘share’ to expand educational opportunities for underprivileged youths under the supervision of the Yuvabadhana Foundation. These items would be sold at the Pan Kan Shop of the foundation, of which proceeds will be presented as scholarships to the youth.
• The Mobile Pan Kan Shop Activity – Unused or gently-used items are sold at Krungsri Head Office, of which proceeds will be presented as scholarships to the youth under the supervision of the foundation.
• The Pen Pal Day Activity – Volunteers write letters in giving students moral support.

The Pan Kan…Turn Your Used Items into Scholarships Project not only promotes the spirit of sharing among Krungsri employees, but also helps make meaningful differences in social and environment aspects by fully utilizing stuff for utmost benefits. Using used items also help reduce waste produced when buying new things. The aforementioned activities also align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
