What is Krungsri Boarding Card?

Top-up card which allows cardholder to:

Exchange 16 available foreign currencies i.e. JPY, KRW, HKD, SGD, USD, EUR, AUD, CAD, CHF, CNY, DKK, GBP, NOK, NZD, SEK, TWD, and Thai Baht (THB) in the card for spending in Thailand and overseas. Travel with confidence as the card can be used worldwide, including countries that accept currencies other than the said 16 currencies;
Withdraw cash in foreign currencies at ATMs with VISA logo worldwide; and
Pay with the card at shops that accept VISA card / online payment (Verified by VISA).

Remarks :

In case using the Card for payment of goods/services to the merchants and/or for cash withdrawal in foreign currency through ATM located overseas, the Bank will deduct the relevant foreign currency from the Card. If the selected currency in the Card is insufficient to cover the transaction, the Bank reserves the right to reject the whole transaction. In case the cardholder uses the Card for transactions in foreign currencies where is currency is not available in the card (16 currencies), the Bank shall deduct THB currency in the Card by using VISA’s exchange rate at the time of transaction. The Bank shall record execution date and time based on Thailand time zone. The cardholder shall be able to check VISA’s exchange rate at www.visa.co.th In case THB currency in the Card is insufficient, the Bank reserves the right to reject the whole transaction.

Can I use Krungsri Boarding Card in Thailand?

Yes. You can pay for products or services at shops accepting VISA cards via EDC and VISA PayWave / online payment (Verified by VISA), provided that you have sufficient amount of Thai baht in the card. However, you cannot withdraw cash from ATMs in Thailand.

Can I use Krungsri Boarding Card in countries that do not accept the 16 available currencies?

A: Yes. You can pay for products or services at shops accepting VISA cards via EDC and VISA PayWave / online payment (Verified by VISA), provided that you have sufficient amount of Thai baht in the card. However, you cannot withdraw cash from ATMs in Thailand.

Can I exchange foreign currencies into Thai Baht and how?

You can sell foreign currency via krungsri app and the fund will be transferred to the account designated by cardholder.

How to get the replacement card in case it is lost?

In case of loss, the cardholder shall deactivate the card via krungsri app and sell all currencies where funds will be transferred to designated account. Then, please call the Krungsri Call Center at No. 1572 to notify the call center agent to cancel the lost card. Afterwards, the cardholder can apply for a new card via krungsri app.

What to do if I suspect any unauthorized usage of the card; or if the card is stolen?

In case of suspected unauthorized use of the card, the cardholder shall deactivate the card via krungsri app; and call Krungsri Call Center at No. 1572 to reject transactions.

What to do if the card expires and there is still remaining balance in the card?

Case 1: If the cardholders don't want to sell the existing currencies in the card, and prefer to continue using the card, then they card apply the new card through krungsri app. The remaining balance from the expiry card will be transferred to the new card at the same amount upon new card activation.

Case 2: If the cardholders don't want to continue using the card, they can sell all existing FX currencies in the card through krungsri app, whereby the fund will be transferred to designated account. Any Thai baht currency must be transferred to the said account as well

Case 3: If the cardholders don't want to continue using the card, and still don't want to sell their existing FX currencies, the remaining balance will still be available in the card, but they won't be able to spend or withdraw through expired card. However, the cardholder will be able to sell those currencies back anytime through krungsri app

In case the customer lost the card and request the card replacement, what is the procedure?

The customer can request the card replacement with no need to cancel the existing card per procedure below
1.Click at the Applying Menu “Krungsri Boarding Card in the first screen of krungsri app
2.The system will confirm whether you want to apply new Krungsri Boarding Card?, then click “OK”
3.The system will apply the new card and at the same time cancel the old card instantly
Remark: In case there is a remaining balance in the old card, the system will automatically transfer it to the new card right after the card activation

Can the customer cancel Krungsri Boarding Card?

Case 1 : Withdraw fund in 16 available currencies, provided that you have such currency in the card.
Case 2 : You can withdraw cash in currencies other than the 16 available currencies, provided that you have sufficient Thai baht in the card for withdrawal.

You can use the card to pay for products and services at any shops accepting VISA cards where VISA logo appears on the EDC and VISA PayWave is available. Payment in the available 16 currencies requires existing balance of the transacting currency in the card prior to payment. If the payment is made in a country whereby its official currency differs from the 16 available currencies, the cardholder must ensure that there is sufficient Thai Baht in the card.

What is Krungsri Boarding Card?

Top-up card which allows cardholder to:

Exchange 16 available foreign currencies i.e. JPY, KRW, HKD, SGD, USD, EUR, AUD, CAD, CHF, CNY, DKK, GBP, NOK, NZD, SEK, TWD, and Thai Baht (THB) in the card for spending in Thailand and overseas. Travel with confidence as the card can be used worldwide, including countries that accept currencies other than the said 16 currencies;
Withdraw cash in foreign currencies at ATMs with VISA logo worldwide; and
Pay with the card at shops that accept VISA card / online payment (Verified by VISA).

Remarks :

In case using the Card for payment of goods/services to the merchants and/or for cash withdrawal in foreign currency through ATM located overseas, the Bank will deduct the relevant foreign currency from the Card. If the selected currency in the Card is insufficient to cover the transaction, the Bank reserves the right to reject the whole transaction. In case the cardholder uses the Card for transactions in foreign currencies where is currency is not available in the card (16 currencies), the Bank shall deduct THB currency in the Card by using VISA’s exchange rate at the time of transaction. The Bank shall record execution date and time based on Thailand time zone. The cardholder shall be able to check VISA’s exchange rate at www.visa.co.th In case THB currency in the Card is insufficient, the Bank reserves the right to reject the whole transaction.
