Krungsri (Bank of Ayudhya PCL) enhances its mobile security with a new device change confirmation feature in ‘krungsri app’, designed to prevent unauthorized device swaps. The new function ensures that every device change is carried out securely and solely under the control of the legitimate user. The new device change confirmation feature will be available starting from 26 December 2024 for krungsri app version 4.01.00 onwards.

In response to the constantly evolving landscape of online threats and sophisticated deception techniques, the Bank has developed a device change confirmation function for krungsri app users. The primary goal is to prevent fraud, minimize the risk of unauthorized device swapping, and unauthorized access to bank accounts. If the system detects an attempt to change devices without prior confirmation, it will block the action and display a notification message and this alert informs the user that the device change requires conformation from the original device. In scenarios where the original device is no longer available, users can visit any Krungsri branch to verify their identity and gain access to the krungsri app on the new device.

For krungsri app users who intend to change their device must complete the process through the settings menu and verify the change themselves in advance, following these steps:
  1. Enter krungsri app
  2. Choose the option ‘More’
  3. Go to ‘Settings’
  4. Go to ‘Security’
  5. Go to ‘Change Device’
  6. Confirm Device Change by following the steps
